Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art

The painter Seiji Togo (1897–1978) was a master of putting on canvas the grace and charm of young maidens. More than 100 of his works from the museum collection are on display here at any given time, along with works by other Japanese and Western artists, such as Gauguin and Cezanne. The museum also houses van Gogh's Sunflowers. The gallery includes an especially good view of the old part of Shinjuku.
